Thank you for contacting Blizzard Europe Technical Support regarding the “Invalid torrent file” error.

This error usually happens due to a permissions error when Vista creates some patch files in a different directory.

To fix this please navigate to the following folder: C:\users\Public\Public Documents\Blizzard Entertainment\World of Warcraft\

This folder may also be called: C:\users\Shared\Shared Documents\Blizzard Entertainment\World of Warcraft\

Delete the file called: WoW-2.4.3-to-3.0.2-enGB-Win-Final-downloader.exe

If you have an Updates folder in this directory please copy this folder into your normal World of Warcraft directory.

This is by default located in C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\

Then to allow the game to have administrator rights, please follow the steps below:

1. Open the folder that contains your World of Warcraft installation.

2. Right-click the Wow.exe file, and then choose Properties. On the Compatibility tab, tick the Run this Program as an Administrator check box, and then click OK.

3. Repeat these steps for the Launcher.exe file.

So I don't lose it, and maybe will prove useful for someone else.
